Found presents the first ever Sundown Sessions.
Coming together.
As everyone gathered together at the beautiful Angel Meadow Park, to say goodbye to the summer season, the Found Sundown Sessions was more than just an event; it was an experience. Where music, light, and atmosphere came together to create something timeless, attendees had a chance to relax, refuel, and mingle with friends and fellow music lovers, against the backdrop of one of Manchester's oldest and most historic parks.
To start the evening.
The event began at Fairfield Social, where delicious gyros and drinks combined with the venue’s ambient lighting and lively conversation complemented the evening's fare, setting an inviting tone for what lay ahead.
Guests made their way up the steps to the park, invited by the perfect combination of Manchester tracks from the amazing DJ Jamie-Anne. The evening was perfect, and if you could order weather in, you would have thought we had. With a gentle breeze and a warm, golden sunset, we had the perfect backdrop for this special evening.
Attendees, enjoyed the spectacle from deckchairs and benches, with some opting for their own blankets, making the whole event feel even more intimate. As passers by walked dogs, or just enjoyed the evenings weather, many stopped and took in the event, remarking on how beautiful and special it was.
As the sun set.
Beneath a clear night sky, the string quartet took centre stage, performing an unforgettable set of classical covers of Manchester's most iconic anthems. The urban rush of Manchester appeared to come to a pause, giving way to a peaceful, shared moment of nostalgia.
The string quartet, a group of highly talented musicians, brought a new life to Manchester’s legendary tracks. The familiar anthems of the city’s biggest bands, from Oasis to The Stone Roses and Joy Division, were reimagined through graceful and delicate versions of the melodies. Each note, carefully crafted, whilst surrounded by the candle-lit park created a wholesome atmosphere that brought together the community.
We look forward to the next.
For many, it was a chance to revisit songs that shaped the city's identity and reminisce on the good old days, but in a setting that allowed for quiet reflection and communal appreciation. Thankfully, this event was the first of many sundown sessions hosted by Found, so if you missed this one. Do not worry, the next one is waiting for you. What a beautiful night, thank you to all.
