We promise not to spam you. No, really.
Pankhurst, Turing, and now you.
Let's hear how you're gonna' change the world.
We kicked off Sundown Cinema, our first neighbourhood cinema night, with a screening of Wicked (ahead of part two dropping later this year), and it couldn’t have landed better. The weather showed up, the crowd showed out, and Angel Meadow Park turned into the perfect outdoor cinema spot.
Big film, bigger turnout.
Deckchairs, beanbags, and blankets were all laid out, plus the people who brought their own setups got comfy and made it a proper picnic night. We lit up the grass and trees, and packed it out with good people, good energy, and the best kind of midweek fun.
Cinema snacks, but better.
Fairfield Social Club handled the food and drink, think proper pizzas, stacked hot dogs, cinema snacks, sweet stuff, and a bar stocked with the good stuff.
Wicked looks all round.
We also had a free face-painting stall on-site too, with Wicked themed designs designs for kids and adults. Think green glitter, glam swirls, and a few flying monkeys; it gave the night that extra bit of character and fun.
Free to show up, easy to stay.
The whole thing was free, just show up, claim a spot, and settle in. Whether you came down after work or brought the full crew during the school hols, everyone was welcome. Dogs? Also welcome with leads.
More where that came from.
This was the first of our Sundown Cinema nights and judging by how many of you turned up, it won’t be the last. Keep your eyes on Found. We’ve got more coming.
