This Halloween, step into St Catherine’s Wood after dark for an immersive outdoor experience of live music, dance, performance and storytelling.

For one night, the wood becomes the stage.

As darkness falls, performers emerge between the trees, live strings fill the woodland and stories inspired by the history and folklore of Red Bank, St Catherine’s Wood and the River Irk unfold around you.

With no one viewing area, you’re free to wander the wood as the performance happens around you, discovering dancers, aerial and physical performers, live musicians and unexpected theatrical moments along the way.

Expect beauty, mystery and the macabre as we uncover some of the stories this place has collected over time.

Please note, due to the nature of this event, there will be no entry permitted after 7.20pm, so arrive in good time to avoid missing out on this night to remember.

6:00PM - 7:15PM: AFTER DARK OPENS
Arrive, explore the wood and enjoy family-friendly activities including:

• Free woodland activities with our pals at PLANTMCR
• Theatrical face painting to get you into the spirit of the night
• Guided aerial sessions as the atmosphere begins to build

7:30PM - 8:45PM: THE WOOD REMEMBERS

The main immersive performance begins.

Continue to explore the wood as live strings, dance, aerial performance and storytelling unfold around you.

There’s no need to find the “best” place to stand, the whole wood is the stage.

• After Dark is an outdoor woodland experience, so please dress for the weather and wear suitable footwear.
• The evening will include low lighting, atmospheric sound and moments that may feel eerie or unsettling, while remaining a family-friendly Halloween experience.
